Every Week People who live in Fishersgate can benefit from great services, available at the Meet-in-Place, a new community facility. There's loads going on each and every day and it's nearly all free. These include a Parents Coffee morning, a toy library, Family Art Fun, a family and childminder drop in, a drug and alcohol support drop in, Connexions drop in service, JobCentre Plus, Citizens Advice Bureau and Local Neighbourhood forums are also held. Every Tuesday and Thursday. The Oasis Centre at Northbrook College on Broadwater Road in Worthing is the venue for friendly and informal computer courses for beginners. Being held on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons, these courses offer everything you need to get started on your home PC at a cost of just £10. Every Tuesday Age Concern has an outreach service in Worthing for information and advice. This is now available at West Sussex Credit Union, Crescent Road (next door to the Salvation Army Welcome Inn) on Tuesdays 10am to 1pm. The service offers help with welfare benefits, housing matters, health and social care, leisure and social activities and most other things that affect the lives of people aged 50 and over, their families and carers. Every Tuesday West Worthing Country Market is held at The Heene Community Centre on Heene Road from 10 am to 12 pm. They offer a wide range of crafts, cards, turned wood, homemade jams, pickles, cakes and savouries plus fresh vegetables, farm eggs and plants. First Monday of the month Bingo evening in aid of the Mary How Trust for Cancer Prevention at Ravenscroft Guide & Community Centre, Browns Lane, Storrington, from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. It promises to be a fun bingo evening; only 50p entry; great prizes; raffle & refreshments. Everyone welcome! This event is held on the first Monday of every month. Every week You can get free support and advice on stopping smoking with an NHS trained advisor who is able to arrange for medication as appropriate on prescription. It costs just £1 per family, with the first visit free. It is a Jubilee Church initiative and also receives funding from Worthing Community Partnership. Everyone is welcome. Every Monday The Worthing Panthers are community cheerleading squad based in Worthing. Cheerleading is an exciting sport for boys and girls that combines cheer dance, gymnastics and stunting. Their club is open to children aged between 5 and 15 years old and they are recruiting now! The Worthing Panthers train on Monday evenings weekly at the Pavilion at Field Place. School Holidays Worthing kiDS is a Down's Syndrome support group for babies and children 12 years and under and their families. Every other week. SNAPS, a support group for children with special needs, takes place at St Matthews Church on Tarring Road.
