Worthing International Birdman

 

 

THE EVENT

 

 

On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August, Worthing seafront was swarming with bird watchers, or birdman watchers anyway!

 

It was the second year the event was held in Worthing and this time the sun shone and the gale force winds were nowhere to be seen!

 

On Saturday, Steve Elkins came just 20cm shy of scooping the £30,000 prize as he managed to fly his modified glider a staggering 99.8 meters!

 

Well done to all the flyers and for all the money that was raised for chairty!
